THEATRE: "Fem Noir" by Sheila Norgate @ The Roxy

TICKETS: $20 | Available at North Road Sports Oct. 1 |

People say the reason we don’t hear much from second-wave feminists is because they all drowned. But Sheila Norgate must have dog-paddled to shore in 1971 because she is still standing, still strident, still asking the tough questions like “WTF?”

With the ferocity of a deranged terrier and just enough of her trademark humour to keep women from shooting themselves, Norgate brings the house lights all the way up to expose misogyny’s 2,500-year covert career path.

COMMUNITY EVENT: Vibrational Belonging @ The Netloft
Oct 20 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm
COMMUNITY EVENT: Vibrational Belonging @ The Netloft

By Donation | Everyone Welcome!

The Gabriola Ecumenical Society presents Vibrational Belonging, healing ourselves, our community, our earth through shared vibrational resonance.

Held the 3rd Sunday of each month from September through June.

Facilitated by Leah Hokanson.

Vibrational Belonging is an open invitation to explore the ancient communal tradition of sound making as a way to celebrate, honour, and invoke what sustains life: as individuals, as a community, and as citizens of our beloved earth. No musical training or singing experience required. If you can hum, sigh, chitter like an eagle, or croak like a raven, you’re qualified. And if silence is more your thing, your focused intention  will help to amplify the vibrational resonance  with one another  and with our sacred environment.
