COST: $15 per session or 4 sessions for $50 |

Life Drawing Gabriola studio sessions are held every Wednesday from noon to 2 pm. Bring your own drawing supplies and a board or easel. Life drawing is fun and challenging and will develop your drawing skills.

There is no need to register ahead.

Learn how to make your own Farmer’s Style Cheddar cheese! Join Paula Maddison who has been teaching the lost art of cheese making for years. This is a demonstration style: Taste, Touch, Feel class that will demystify the process of making your own cheese, giving you a good understanding of the process and ingredients that are used in cheese making. Instructions and ingredients to make your own Farmer’s Style Cheddar at home are included.

Students must register in advance. All Gabriola Island classes are held at Madd Acres, my hobby farm. All supplies included. No experience necessary.

Members may paint on Tuesday and Friday afternoons until 4 pm provided the Gabriola Senior Citizens’ Association does not require use of the Rollo Centre. Members may use oil paints either day provided that the oil paints are water-soluble or odorless solvents are used

This circuit-style exercise program supports those people who are managing chronic health conditions including bone and joint conditions, diabetes, heart and respirator conditions, cancer, obesity, and mental health issues.

Participants work at their own level and pace, core and stretching can be done from a chair, and exercises have increasing levels of difficulty that will challenge you to increase strength, balance, flexibility and joint mobility.

Bonus benefits: have fun and meet new people!

Gabriola Auxiliary for Island Health Care Meat Draw will be held at the Skol Pub every second Saturday.

8+ draws per Saturday, plus a 50/50 draw.

All proceeds go towards island health care programs and initiatives.
